Outsurance Pet - Think Twice Before Taking Out

Pet Insurance - my dog sustained an injury as a result of an encounter with another dog. He sustained a bite to the ear. The first visit to the vet was covered but after a week an infection had set in and another visit had to be made to the vet. He had to be admitted, the area, cleaned and treated and systemic cortisone and antibiotics given. With the infection there was an irritation that developed and he was scratching the wound. Outsurance repudiated the claim saying that it was "hotspo"t (agreed it's from the initial injury) but because there is now this diagnosis they are changing the 2nd part of the claim from accident to illness. Will be referring this one to the Insurance Ombudsman.
