Outsurance Pet Insurance DO NOT TOUCH

I took out pet insurance with Outsurance in January 2025, not the entry plan, but a quite expensive plan that could almost cover the cost of insuring a car, only to find out that they actually do not cover if your pet has two accidents in one year. My boxer had a small incident in April 2025, and they paid me R3k after my excess deduction of R900. Then, in November 2025, he had another accident that required surgery of R28k, which I paid for, and when I claimed my money back, less the excess of R900, I was told they would not pay this amount because it was the second accident in 12 months. I asked if I could refund the R3k, and they can pay me the R27k they refused to do so, bearing in mind I am paying for R35k cover for the year. I found this to be grossly unfair but this is how they operate. I was not going to complain until I saw their new ad for R65 / month cover, and I wondered what this policy would cover because I paid a premium of R368 / month. So if they get 1 million people to take the R65 / month cover and not pay out for anything, they make R65 million per month, quite clever, but to the detriment of the public. This is just another example of *********** people who love their animals. Very sad, and they should be ashamed.
