Outsurance pay less

Title:OUTSURANCE INSURANCE COMPANY SOUTH AFRICA Very Disappointed With My Claim Experience

Review: I am sharing my personal experience so that other customers can be aware. My car was recently ******, and I submitted a claim with OUTsurance. Unfortunately, the payout they offered was much lower than what I originally paid for the vehicle and much lower than what I believe the car was worth at the time of the theft.

I expected the insurance to provide fair compensation based on the value of the car, but I feel the amount offered does not reflect that. I found the process very disappointing and frustrating.

This is only my personal experience, but I encourage anyone considering this insurer to carefully check how vehicle values and payouts are calculated so they know what to expect.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.

Further to our private response to you, we can confirm that our claims manager, Ethel, contacted you to address your concerns. We base the vehicle's sum insured on the TransUnion Auto Dealers guide. 

Ethel has advised you to provide us with valuation certificates indicating the value of the vehicle and then we will review the settlement amount.
