Outsurance not willing to be flexible
My husband was involved in an accident with an Outsurance client, in which accident my husband was at fault. My hubby is unemployed and when Outsurance recovery department contacted us, I made an offer to pay my husbands debt, to which Outsurance refused as it was not acceptable to their system generated offer. Needless to say, I contacted the manager one Isaac Mogwera, who blatantly said that their system cannot accept the offer, and that they will proceed with litigation. Due to the manner in which we are married, I do not have to accept my husbands debt, but I did, however Outsurance still wishes to pursue litigation against an unemployed person who owns no assets and is already in financial debt. I too am in the insurance industry and in particular, the claims environment for many years and I do know for a fact the insurer can make exceptions based on the individuals circumstance. In this day and age one should understand the financial constraints and be able to accommodate people, especially when they are will to take responsibility and accountability. What happened to treating a customer fairly? All I am asking is for Outsurance to allow me to assist my husband in paying for this debt in the only way we can afford.
