Outsurance needs to be reported to the competition commission for false advertising!
Please do not be fooled by their empty promises like "you always get something out!" They actually rip you off! Electricity load shedding damaged my TV set. Outsurance are asking for R4500 excess payment for a TV set of R5000. Their argument is that they have a new policy around electricity surges which stipulates the general R4500 payment in excess despite the item cost. My alarm system as well R4500 excess!

We understand your disappointment.
Our claims manager, Keneiloe contacted you and discussed how excess is app****. Our excess is not calculated on a percentage of the amount claimed for.
She furthermore explained the reason for the increase of excess for items damaged by load shedding or power surges. This was communicated to you in the annual rerate letter you received from us.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to have discussed your concerns.
