Outsurance monthly premium rising by 35% watchout
Outsurance is newing their Policy 1 Oct.. I have 3 Guesthouses insured with them.I only claimed 2 x Geysers for the whole year. My premium goes up by 35% how is this possible... I called them twice this morning, they just said sorry thats how it is.So which means they took all my premiums and i paid a access to the installer. And still my premium goes up monthly by 35%...Guys please think carefully before you think of going to Outsurance. Why does one have insurance then, why do you pay each and every month... Watch out for Outsurance all i can say

We understand that receiving an annual increase comes as a disappointment.
There are a variety of factors that will influence a premium increase at rerate stage such as claims, inflationary adjustments etc.
Our client services manager will call you to address your concerns regarding the rerate.

28 Aug 2026, 10:10No, that's no the disappointment. The fact that my policy goes up by 35% is crazy.. And the fact that i have insurance but i am not allowed to claim 2 geysers for the whole year is madness.All my vehicles and my house are also under another policy and didn't claim a cent. On a rerate my vehicles get older which means my premiums should come down... Been a client for 15 years, and your telesales persons just said sorry, cant assist... I asked to speak to a manager, they said sorry she's in a meeting - What im in meetings to, how can they tell a client thayt.Guys its not about annual increase, its how they take your money if you claim something small...
Been paying around R750 000 for 15 years in premiums at Outsurance. I claimed about R150 000 in total... Which means Over R500 000 went to Outsurance in premiums...???
