Outsurance Life - your family is left with nothing after you die

July 2018 I lost my husband in a tragic accident, it took 9 months for Outsurance to let me know that they will not pay out his life cover he was under the influence yet he was not the cause of the accident. Outsurance board sat down and took a blood test result that was tested 3 months after his death and decided to base their findings on that and allow 2 minor kids and a wife be homeless. The service is horrible. when I asked them how sure are they that the blood sample was accurate as it was only tested 3 months after his passing, they told me I need to find out the info myself. its not their job to check such, its not their job to check at what condition the blood was stored, I must find that out myself....yet the board sits there and makes the decision to not a payout without having all the info. you're a horrible company and your staff in the life cover are just as bad. I can only imagine if I had died with my husband in that car accident, who was going to fight for my kids for this life cover? my kids are 9 and 4, who was going to contest this for them? you're a horrible company and will never recommend you to anyone. the policy says, even if you're under the influence, you need to be the person responsible for the accident for the cover to not pay out. and he did not cause the accident.
