Outsurance is wasting my time.
I'm extremely disappointed with Outsurance for constantly messing me around regarding my claim placed in April. I placed a claim regarding my ceiling and roof being damaged after the rains/flooding that recently occurred in Durban kzn. At first I got notified of my claim being approved, without any assessment of the damages, then to be told it's not approved as yet. Once a contractor, of their choice, had come through to assess the damage, I was told they would receive a quote and settle afterwards. Ever since being told that, I've called them more than 4 times within the last few weeks only to be told each time, that they haven't received any information from their contractor. I then decided to get a private contractor to assess and send a quote, to which I was told they now need a breakdown and more pictures. It is absolutely disappointing that this is the service I'm paying for.
We are sorry to read about the storm damage to your home. The KZN floods were devastating!
Further to our private response, we can confirm that Tshepiso our claims manager contacted you to address your concerns and she discussed the reasons for the delay in detail with you. Tshepiso advised you that we are waiting for the quote and she discussed the way forward. Once we have received the quote, we will finalise the matter.
We sincerely apologise for the bad experience and the inconvenience caused as a result.
