OUTSURANCE IS THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY EVER!

OUTSURANCE IS THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY I HAVE EVER INTERACTED WITH. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW ALL THEIR ADVERTS ARE SO FOCUSSED ON HELPING CUSTOMERS AT ALL COSTS BUT THEY DENY CLAIMS FOR THE MOST ABSURD REASON. OUTSURANCE DENIED MY CAR ACCIDENT CLAIM BECAUSE MY MOM IS LISTED AS THE REGULAR DRIVER AND I WAS THE ONE DRIVING WHEN I GOT INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. EVEN AFTER CONSULTING THIRD PARTIES SUCH AS THE SAPS, TOWING TRUCK COMPANIES AND MY FRIEND WHO WASN'T AT THE ACCIDENT SCENE, THEY DENIED THE CLAIM BECAUSE I WAS NOT LISTED AS THE REGULAR DRIVER. MAKES ME WONDER WHY WE PAY FOR INSURANCE IF THEY CAN'T EVEN HELP YOU IN INSTANCES WHERE THE INSURANCE PREMIUM IS SUPPOSED TO COVER YOUR ASSET

What baffles me the most is the fact that the car is 6 weeks old. I drove to Joburg with the car for work and got into an accident whilst I was in Joburg with the car. I dont understand how a regular driver can be determined if the car is still new. If I had the car with me for 3 years then I would understand where you're coming from.

Hello Tumza

The consequences of a rejected claim are of course adding a lot of stress and financial burden on any client, which we are not insensitive to.

It needs to be said our premiums are based on the regular driver of the vehicle. You noted you were the incident driver, but we will not reject a claim if a person, who is not noted as the regular driver, has an accident with the insured vehicle. This will however happen if you are in fact  the regular driver and not your mom.

We don't want to speculate.  We requested you to email us the claim number, which we received, but it was not the correct claim number, and we notified you accordingly. We can unfortunately not investigate the detail without.

We are awaiting the detail from you.

Regards
