OUTsurance is the most unprofessional and *********** company, waiting 3 weeks for a building claim resolution
During the Eloise Hurricane I suffered some water damage at my House. I lodged a claim at OUTsurance on 03 February. After the service provider came out for an assessment and submitted the Quote I waited for 2 weeks for feedback from OUTsurance. I loaded a complaint and then a building claims manager phoned me (Qaasim Varind) apologized and told me the had an exceptionally high amount of claims, however my claim has been approved an one of his people named Patrick will contact me. Patrick did contact me and said he will inform the service provider to go ahead with the reparations. 2 days later I phoned the service provide to arrange dates and what work needs to happen (I was a bit upset that the Service provider did not contact me first). They told me they have not received anything from OUTsurance. So I made a fool of myself and again wasted my time. I contacted Qaasim Varind whom told me he will now submit the authorization manually as there was a problem with their on-line system.... Later I phoned the Service provider again to make arrangements, still they have not received anything. So feeling very angry and stupid due to OUTsurance, I left Patrick a voicemail (I am still waiting for a call back from him). eventually a lady (Thembile) phoned me and I requested a payout to initiate the repair work myself as it has now been 3 weeks that nothing happened and I still suffer damages when it rains. Thembile sounded very confused about what amount to pay out (Do they not have an invoice..?) and on several occasions told me she will gest back to me ASAP about the payout. As I am writing this complaint Thembile has not come back to me to finalize the payout. This is the most unprofessional and *********** company I have dealt with, it seems OUTsurance does not even know what is happening in their own departments. So this is now 3 weeks and 2 complaints, a lot of rain later and who knows how many call, emails, messages later and it is still not resolved. It makes me think that if my roof collapses during another storm how long will I have to sit in the rain before Outsurance does anything?
