Outsurance is both intrusive and expensive

It is very funny how Outsurance markets itself as a cost effective insurer that caters for the individual. I recently communication from Outsurance that my premium is going up by approximately R300. I have been with Outsurance for over 10 years and have never missed a premium. My issue is with my motor vehicle cover. The vehicle has declined in value and every year Outsurance increases the premiums.

So yesterday I had a lengthy chat with one of their retention managers. I was then informed that Outsurance have checked my ITC records and deduced that

1. I can afford to pay 75% of my current commitments. I am a married person in a 2 income family. That clearly was not considered. If I am over committed, does it make sense for Outsurance to increase my premiums and make a bad sistuation worse?

2. I have paid my premiums regulary and not missed one. Now for Outsurance to tell me that I am over committed is very intrusive and frankly none of Outsurance's business.

3. I am now seriously in the market for a new insurer because I am fed up with Outsurance.

Enough!!!
