Outsurance is best avoided
Outsurance misrepresents their cover. After disclosing that I live in Namibia, I insured an SA bough car with Outsurance in 2015. Upon registering a (minor) claim I was suddenly informed that the claim can only be administered in SA - costing potentially more than the value of the claim. I was told the cover is seamless - unless off course when it comes to actually claiming. After i followed up on this - Outsurance mentioned I must move the insurance to Namibia - at a much higher rate than what I am currently paying for 2 cars and household cover! So - for all the time I was actually not covered as promised and will clearly pay dearly for the privilege to submit a claim. I think not - Outsurance finally admitted they will process the claim, but only when I pointed out that I think it is fair to get my premiums back as they clearly have not insured me for the risk I was paying for. This is a bad and ********* business and people should be warned that Outsurance will avoid settling a claim at all cost
We are very disappointed that we let you down as our valued client. This is certainly not the level of service we usually deliver.
Siya our claims manager contacted you to discuss the matter in detail. This was our error and we informed you we would process the claim. For future claims, in order to provide you with the correct cover you would need to take out a Namibian OUTsurance policy.
We sincerely apologise for the poor service experience.

OUTsurance
