Outsurance helping themselves
Very disappointing, our household insurance was increased from R500 to R700 with no notice. To call them today and find out, we had an "incident" that was not paid out as the claim was rejected, due to that item not being included in the policy. Which i might add was told that it would be... Anyway. So it gives Outsurance the right to dip there hands in our account out of the agreed debit amount and take what they want without a valid reason or notice. To add insult to injury you add on claiming they have also increased our premium due to the risk of a "Natural Disaster" Wow really?? Outsurance this is theft you don't have the right to help yourself to money that doesn't belong to you, this isn't how you treat your client. I find this behavior rather dishonest. I want the policy returned to what it was and the money that was taken without consent returned. Or we will have to go to Insurance Ombudsman.
Thank you for the patience you afforded us in providing you with proper feedback, after having acknowledged your review.
Our client care manager contacted you. She discussed the rerate increase in more detail. She also confirmed the rerate notification was emailed to you in April. We are sorry if the notification never reached you. She also apologised for the poor impression you were left with when our advisor discussed the increase when you enquired about it.
Thank you for accepting our apologies.
