OUTsurance for NOTHING out! 😡
OUTsurance never seems to disappoint, in ensuring that you DON'T get something OUT.
I recently took out insurance with "OUTsurance" after being approached by one of their brokers.
I had an incident with my truck winch, which was covered as an extra at the quotation stage. I recently had my winch brake while recovering a vehicle, and I contacted the broker who immediately logged the claim. I got called by a lady who had no time or day to properly assist me in having the winch replaced promptly as it is a tool of trade tool. Meaning that my business ID cripple without a winch.
MY CLAIM WAS DECLINED... I WAS TOLD THAT IT'S NOT COVERED AS IT DID NOT BREAK ACCIDENTALLY.
I'm no expert in insurance, but this feels like a rip-off as I've paid to render a service, which now turns out to be an absolute nightmare. I had to use the little savings that I had to get my small business up and running due to this inconvenience
I definitely won't be recommending anyone to OUTsurance.
Further to our private response, we can confirm that our claims manager Isabel contacted you to discuss your concerns.
She has explained the reasons for our decision and that wear and tear is not a covered peril.
We know that this is not the feedback you want to hear and are sorry for the disappointment.

OUTSURANCE rejected my claim on my truck winch... claiming that it broke due to wear and tear!!! And it's apparently an exclusion according to the very unhelpful manger that called me " Isabel Erasmus"
Even if the winch broke down due to wear and tear!!! I was never informed of that. I only found out about it when I got a call from Isabel, who assumed my broker discussed it with me... how is that my problem???
Many warned me about joining OUTSURANCE, and now I see exactly why I was warned... they cripple small business knowing we don't have the fighting power. Well, that buck stops her with me. I will not rest knowing that I'm being taken for granted!!!
