Outsurance Falsified Legal Documents.

My issue is that Outsurance requested personal information of my son's whereabouts prior to and after the accident which occurred on the (30 /06/2018 )that of which I consented to. This was five days after the accident. After a stringent 2hrs of information gathering and recording, both my son's phone where scrutinized and dialing all numbers made on the day of the accident . "Invasion of Privacy and Violations of rights " We comp**** willingly in order to assist after which the assessor not being able to prove which of my son's drove the car. The following day he called and further requested a Beacon and Billings report from Vodacom and Cell C, due to not reaching any conclusive evidence of the driver. We obliged with his request. The fact that having informed the assessor that the Vodacom prepaid sim was R.I.C.A by me and belong to me. He requested verification thereto from which "apparently I don't have the sim on my name " was his official response. I requested proof thereof that a legitimate and authentic validation was done. I have attached all relevant documents.

Today upon receiving the documents I noticed that the documents that were completed and signed by The Commissioner of Oaths had the 'dates relevant to the Claim 'altered without my permission and knowledge. According to the Outsurance assessor he had to do that. When questioned about the altered dates. If don't comply with his request for completion of new documents my claim may be affected or rejected.

My concern is that Outsurance is definitely passing the buck. Firstly I took the liberty of going in a Vodacom Store and had no issues in obtaining a copy of the validation of that SIM card being on my name and ID number. I humbly request that you please confirm if the person/s entangled in this case are legitimate. Because it seems that failure of not being able to conclude the claims process with all relevant information gathered by Outsurance and all parties concerned. According to the Ombudsman's S.T.I information on the Application for Assistance documents. No documents may be altered after being signed and they are legal documents. This had been reiterated several times at the Police station by the Assessor, because my son's and I several pages that needed to be signed. Inspite of me asking him prior to us leaving the station, if all documents were in order. Why did he tamper with and alter a Legal Document? Kindly assist with our claim because this is the first instance ever that we have been involved with a claim and feel undermined. Must we engage with and obtain legal advice?
