Outsurance Exhorbitant premium increase after claim.
Joined Outsurance about a year ago, was happy with the premiums and level of service. Had a repair claim for one of my vehicles a few months later, and the premium on my car jumped by almost R 2000!! They basically doubled my premium, without any notification, explanation or approval. Furthermore, the policy schedule actually states that all premiums are guaranteed to stay the same for 12 months? So either its ********** misrepresentation, or they have sneakily hidden some clause in their T&C, and fail to mention it during any phone calls.
A few hundred Rand I can appreciate, but a R 2000 rand increase is ridiculous! I'll be swapping insurers immediately.

Premiums are guaranteed for 12 months and then on the anniversary of your policy there will be an annual increase (re-rate). There are several factors that are taken into consideration such as claims, underwriting changes etc. all of which Mapula discussed with you.
We were able to offer you a better premium.
