Outsurance Duplicity - Double cover for same vehicle

I had my home and vehicle insured with Outsurance for more than 10 years with no significant claims. However, Outsurance was unable to offer me a competitive rate on another vehicle which was disappointing and I cancelled my home cover. I listed my dad as the primary driver of the vehicle as he was taking the vehicle. On the 20th of April, he had contacted Outsurance as a follow up call on a previous discussion to have the vehicle covered by Outsurance business as the vehicle would be registered in his company name. I confirmed my details with the consultant that he was talking to so that the policy in my name could be cancelled and the vehicle covered by Outsurance business. I then received an email from Outsurance yesterday with an attachment that I could not open. I read the attachment today and saw that for some strange reason, the premium was increased on the policy that was supposed to have been cancelled. I called Outsurance and spoke to Verushka who told me that the vehicle was double insured by my policy and my dad's PERSONAL cover!! How does a company insure the same vehicle twice unless this is intentional duplicity in order to collect double premiums and then use this double cover as an excuse not to honour a claim??? I now received an email saying that my policy was cancelled as of today when it should have been the 20th of April. I expect that my rebate is R156.33 as Outsurance is at fault and that this rebate is processed immediately.
