Outsurance - Do not trust them

<p>My husband was in an accident on the 14/08. they have paid the claim yesterday after interigated us and treating us like ********* who did something wrong, the investigation was only about who was the regular driver. I am the regular driver and i gave permission to my husband to use the car and he was fit and able to drive.when the manager Eddie from assesments phoned my husband he said that he must be loaded in future as the regular driver on the next car and that they would pay our full claim. they paid the claim on the condition of endor*****t which he needs to have medicals done every year which we were ok with as my husband has epilepsy. they short paid the bank and now we are liable for the difference even though we took shortfall cover with them. They backddated premiums for the amount of R9400 without our knowledge or consent and deducted excess which we understand. now we owe MFC R17000.00</p> <p>when i asked the assesor why is the shortfall not paid as i have shortfall cover the answer was they dont pay for maintenance. On enquiry of the settlement letter there is no maintenance on the amount they issued.</p> <p>i dont know what to do. we are without a car and deposit, and we still have to settle R17000 which is unfair.</p> <p>After being with outsurance for 4/5 years this is how we are treated.</p> <p>i have no alternative but to report this to the Insurance Ombudsman</p> <p> </p>
