Outsurance - Bitter Pill to Swollow
I have been with Outsurance for approximately 10 years. Last year, after I submitted a claim for flood damage, the accessor duly did his assessment and I was paid. More than a year later, a representative from Outsurance, K.Appalsamy, contacted me to carry out an inspection, leading me to believe that this was a routine inspection after the floods. He even went on to recommend that I get sufficient fire extinguishers for the safety of my property. The very next day, I received a call informing me of Outsurances' intention to cancel my policy because my claims payout exceeded my contributions. If Outsurance is in the business of risk insurance, they should not simply absolve themselves with a months' termination notice. Why didn't they inform me of their intention immediately after their settlement? It took more than a year and in that time I also added a new vehicle to my policy. Bearing testament to their advertising on TV, I am deeply disappointed in the manner in which they conduct their business. Imagine taking out a life policy and the insured person dies a year later...after paying out are they going to refuse the beneficiary of other policies they may hold with Outsurance because they had to payout??? If you are NOT in the business of risk insurance, then you should close the business. They will cut you loose should you encounter a catastrophic disaster...something which was an act of God.
I don't need Outsurance to call me with regards to my complaint. This is just to share this terrible experience I have had with them.
