Outsurance Bad Service

My first claim in 10 YEARS and I get treated like this!!! My geyser burst on 17 December 2017. The geyser has been replaced but I have some concerns about it now. The damage to my cupboards, kitchen door and floor tiles still to be resolved. Their contractor informs me that they will replace the cupboards and use the cupboard doors and counters. (I do not have a problem with that.) The kitchen door that is swollen, they will sand down and revarnish. (I have a problem with this.) The kitchen floor tiles that now sound hollow underneath in some places I get told by the contractor that I maybe mopped my floor to much and the water went under. (Well, duh, why only where the water was lying from the burst geyser is tiles sounding hollow?) I have tried calling and get told that a certain lady "Nicolette" will phone me back. (Even after she phoned me and I missed the call.) I even made the comment - "I will not hold my breath waiting for their calls" - when they said she would phone me and the contractor would phone me back on the 04/01/2018. Low and behold if they do not also go and up my premium at the end of December 2017 without sending me notification or what the new benefits would be!! I will continue to contact them as I had to pay R2340 before contractor would install the geyser. (THAT EXCESS OF R2340 PAID FOR THE GEYSER AND A NEW KITCHEN DOOR.) I am totally disgusted with the attitude of some of the staff of Outsurance and I want my claim resolved with PROFESSIONAL contractors and not contractors going round taking photo's of the herb patch outside to try and imply the "certain" tiles in the kitchen are loose because of the my herb patch. Then they must explain how only the tiles damaged are where the water was lying from the geyser. NOT HAPPY AND JUST VERY FRUSTRATED AND ANGRY AT THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BAD ATTITUDE OF STAFF WITH OUTSURANCE. (I could continue with my experience.) I rate Outsurance NOUGHT, but you want a star!

Hello icky

You have our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and accompanied frustration you have experienced up to now.

We have been in contact with you and confirmed we authorised for the kitchen built in cupboards to be replaced and not be repaired.

Another service provide is being appointed for the tiles and wooden flooring.

Paul provided you with his details and will wait for the report you will be sending him for the geyser.

Regards

Dinky
