Outsurance are bullies

In January 2019 Outsurance called me to verify an accident with one of their client that I was involved in, they said the damages were worth R20000. I advised the lady who called me that the amount does not sound right because it was actually a scratch on the back bumper. I also made a reasonable request to be given a chance to quote with my own repairer, they advised that this is not something they do but they will speak to their client and get back to me. this was the last time I heard from Outsurance.

I called their call centre numerous times to follow up on this case and they were not able to assist me because I was not a client and said I needed to wait for their recovery department to call me and this never happened.

Early March I received a call from some lady who said she was calling on behalf of Outsurance, she is however not working for Outsurance. she wanted to verify the details of the accident as well as my details which I willingly gave. she also said she spoke to the client and the R20000 does not sound right because the client said so.

Today I received summons from their lawyers, guess what? apparently the damages are now R38900. why am I getting summons when I never received a call, sms nor an email from Outsurance to give me feedback and make arrangements with me?

Secondly I would like to know why the amount confirmed on the recorded line is now different from the one noted on their ******* summon? Outsurance need to send me pictures of the assessment as well as the invoice from the repair? they said the damages were R20000, why are they now over R38000?

I refuse to be bul**** like this and will fight this with every cent that I have, OUTSURANCE ARE BULLIES.
