Outsurance - An increase in premium, should be reduction and goodbye

Contacted Outsurance to find out why my insurance premiums increased. This is for someone that has never claimed, adding to that my car has devalued by around R75K from purchasing it brand new a year ago.

Spoke to the renewals department which gave an extremely poor and unsatisfactory answer saying that, 'due to other CX-5 owners claims that I would be paying an increase for my CX-5 '

So you know what I did, I called another insurer which not only knocked over R300 off my current premium but assured me when it comes to the next renewal the premium would again be decreased.

To all the other Outsurance clients with the same issue, do yourself a favour and call another insurer you will be surprised at how ridiculous Outsurance is.

Good day Roy,

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns.

Veronica our client services manager contacted you to discuss the rerate in detail. There are several factors that will influence a premium increase at rerate stage such as claims, underwriting changes, inflationary adjustments etc. The cost of spare parts and labour increases on a yearly basis which also has an impact on the premium increase.

We are sorry we weren't able to offer you a better premium.

Regards,
OUTsurance
