Outsurance 9/10

Excellent customer service.

I was in a car accident on a Tuesday, within 5 min of calling Outsurance the towing service was arranged. I happened to phone in a little later and instead of forcing me to use their app to log the claim, they logged it on the call. By the Thursday I had an update and my vehicle was deemed uneconomical to repair. I organized all the documents and they sent a courier to collect on the Friday. By Wednesday the money was paid out.

It took 8 days for my claim to be resolved, and this involved them waiting a day for me to get all the documents together and giving me a day to collect items from my car. So this could have technically been resolved within 6 days. if not for the waiting for me.

I would like to give a shoutout to Ratish Kandhai from the claims department. He worked directly with me and gave me a way to reach him directly as well. He was always happy to answer any questions and as someone who is claiming for the first time in his life, I had a lot of questions which Ratish made sure were answered. If he could not answer he found out and got back to me in a very timely manner. 10/10 for this guy.

I would also like to give Marlinee Naidoo a shoutout as well. I forgot my charger in the vehicle when it was being towed, and she went above and beyond to track that down.

There was a small incident with the salvage department, but I am not going to fault Outsurance for one employee dragging their feet. This is where Ratish came in clutch again and basically did that employees job for them. But it is for that reason that I cannot give them 5 stars.

I would recommend Outsurance purely from the service I have received. Although they are not on the cheaper side, the great service is worth the price tag.
