Outsurance 500 or 1500 promotion is a ****
I decided to try the Outsurance 1500 promotion since I am insured by another insurance on my car. I called in last week looking for a better quotation on my current comprehensive cover. The guy I spoke to quoted me 630 which was better than what I am paying for which was 680. I was surprised after he sent the documents that he did an essential cover rather than a comprehensive and I was covered for 40k for my car if I was in an accident. After going through it I called back and tried to get a comprehensive cover quote and I was told it would cost me over a thousand rands which is more than what I am currently paying.
What I see here is that I was quoted for something lower than a comprehensive cover just so Outsurance does not have to pay me the 1500 promotion if they cannot beat my current insurance. So why are they lying about this promotion if they know they won't stay true to their words?
