Outsurance
Hello everyone!! *** I have to share my story with you. I’ve been an Outsurance client for as long as I can remember, my first car as a youngster was insured by Outsurance, and I’m 50 now. When other suppliers call me for quotes for insurance I proudly say I need no quote I’m very happy with Outsurance. Well I’m slowly realizing that Outsurance is not what they say they are. Few years ago my gate motor was ****** and I called. They send supplier out and they replaced the motor and very proudly told me that I’m losing out on my out bonus of I cannot remember, around R5000. The supplier came without the motor anti theft bracket and we had words. We had power cuts and the gate would not open, I was told it’s the battery, the guy did not even look into the motor and told me it’s the battery, Outsurance paid me to get a new battery, well it’s not the battery because still the gate will not open with power cuts, in our area. Then one day, year or two ago my mother called me, we had very bad rain falling down, in a panic saying the water is coming through the air pocket above the front door. It was so strong she could not control it, it rushed over my sitting room ceiling and kitchen ceiling and came out above the kitchen window out the roof. Well they came and fixed what they said was damaged. Talking to the supplier I asked how there could be no damage in the sitting room and kitchen ceiling, if the water was rushing from the front door over the sitting room & kitchen ceiling and out the top of the kitchen window. No he rep**** there is no damage. Like mom says the guy was not even in the ceiling at all to look because he was so big he would not have fitted through the man hole going up. TODAY I HAVE THE PROBLEM. I CAN NOT PAINT MY HOUSE INSIDE BECAUSE IM GOING TO HAVE TO FIX THE CEILINGS FIRST. Then now in December I have water running from my ceiling, calling OUTsurance. The 24th they came and replaced the geyser, worked until dark. I had a number of conversations with Lauren about the suppliers that OUTsurance uses. They are unprofessional and unreliable. With my previous claim I was also told no damage and now I have my sitting room and kitchen ceiling pulling loose. And again OUTsurance suppliers wants to tell me there is no damage on a bathroom roof that was soaked under water not half the roof the entire roof. The guys that was replacing the geyser was struggling for hours to close the water and it was spraying everywhere in the ceiling for hours, they left around 7 o’clock in the evening and started around 12 -1 o’clock. Water rushing from my light fittings in my passage and and Now they want to replace half a bathroom and passage ceiling WHAT A $%^& JOKE!!!!! NB!! The bathroom is not even 2 by 2….what a joke. Patching up a ceiling, with new and old pieces and I must be happy???? in all the cases, i paid for the work myself with my outbonus i lost Then I’m called saying that they will send another supplier, that was a week ago and I’ve heard nothing to date. I sent an email again this morning because now my DB Box is making a noise but it’s after one o’clock and nothing from Outsurance. I’m so disgusted in OUTsurance that is supposed to be there for you in a time of need.
We do not blame you for voicing your unhappiness, the service you have described is shocking!
Following receipt of your complaint, we escalated the matter to our client liaison manager who has been in contact with you to discuss your concerns in detail. He further advised that we will appoint a service provider to assist with the geyser overflow and to replace the ceiling. We will further arrange for our rescue team to assist with the DB board.
Our client liaison team will provide you with continuous updates during the claims process.
We are sorry that this has been your claims experience up to this point. This is certainly not the type of service we pride ourselves on.
