Out****med and Outsured and left with no Outbonus!!!!

So, when I purchased my pre-loved 2014 Ford Kuga full house, I was offered extended warranty as well as extended service plans because this I how much I care for my vehicles and would like them to last a long time. Obviously our insurance was with OUTsurance and we promptly added the vehicle to our existing insurance. Having a tow-bar and also having a trailer insured one would imagine that this would be covered as part of the vehicle, right? Well, it turns out that although we are covered for out and about, this does not cover your bicycle rack attached to your towbar as you would need to have this specifically specified. Claim number: OUTsurance Claim Number: *** And so, it happened that I was rear-ended a few weeks ago. This was not my choice or cause. There goes my R13800 outbonus, I need to pay R4800 excess and then OUTsurance has the absolute audacity to repair my vehicle with secondhand parts. Topping this off is the fact that the friendly people from Collision Pros have had my vehicle now for 3 weeks and some days. I was met with hostility I asked for an update on my repairs after15 days of no feedback from them. As soon as I get my vehicle back, I will be moving my entire Outsurance portfolio which included both cars and properties. I will not have any part in this ******ion and I will gladly share me experience far and wide. I will be taking this to the insurance Ombudsman for future reference.

Good afternoon Gavin,

Following our private reply of yesterday, we can confirm that Siphiwe  from our claims management team has been in contact with you.

He has requested that original parts be fitted on your vehicle along with an extension on your car hire.

We will assist with your tow bar cover and as discussed you will itemise it going forward.
The delay will be addressed with the service provider and we will keep you updated.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and hope that we can rebuild your trust in us.

We thank you for your understanding.

Regards,
OUTsurance
