I have been with OUTsurance for almost 20years.i only claim about 3 times for the whole 20 years but i had bad customer service when i wanted to claim for my tv.I'm considering taking my money else where because of this experience when i wanted to claim for my samsung tv that just switches on & off by itself.The accesor came out and I was told they dont cover that because it is wear & tear.During loadshedding that tv went in for repairs at Liptronix for the same problem but that time the tv was still under warranty.I ask the agent of the accidental claim and he said that it is accidental breakidge of the tv.So i dont know what this problem falls under.But my thing is this,every month ousaurance deduct their premiums no questions ask,but if a person wants to claim then there is alot of questions ask just for a reason not to payout.

Further to our private response we can confirm that our claims manager, Mbali, spoke to your wife. As per our service providers report, there is no damage caused as a result of power surge, lightning or accidental damage. The damage to your TV is a factory fault however the TV is no longer under warranty. Unfortunately, the damage to your TV doesn't fall within the ambit of your cover.
We do apologise for the disappointing outcome of your claim.
