Outrageous premium increase
Yes, I did have 2 claims over the past 2 years, however to increase my premium by 51 % is outrageous. From 690R to 1040R. In the meantime I have obtained 2 quotes from different insurance companies. One quote was equivalent to my current Outsurance premium and the second a staggering 200 Rand lower than the current 690R I'm paying. And as required both insurance companies were informed about all previous claims. I have cancelled my policy with Outsurance

15 Oct 2020, 15:31Good day Andreas,
Thanks for your feedback.
After responding privately to your complaint, we escalated the matter to our client care manager Nonhlanhla.
Nonhlanhla contacted you to address your concerns regarding the rerate. There are various factors that will have an impact on premium at rerate stage such as claims, inflationary adjustments, underwriting changes etc.
We managed to review your premium and you were happy to remain a client with us. We appreciate your business.

03 Nov 2020, 11:16The policy was confirmed by Outsurance to be cancelled as of 11.10.2020, however my bank has not been informed by Outsurance about the cancellation of the policy, hence a further premium was debited together with my bond payments. Surely if changes are made to a policy Outsurance communicates it to the respective bank, isn't this standard procedure? Please check reference OT***3 and communicate it to my bank. Very bad service
