Out with outsurance home insurance
having claimed for house insurance from outsurance, the experience proved to be a very poor outcome. after the lightening strike, the insurance claimed that the camera cable, the intercom and inverter were all due to wear and tear. after having confirmed that it was a wear and tear, they approved a claim, for doing nothing, of just over R5700,00 with an excess of R4500 and leaving me with around R1700 approved claim which would have impacted my no claim bonus, note that this will basically reduce the out bonus in their favour with them having to do nothing because the claim was unjustifiably declined. At least with a homeloan insurance at other places, they honour claims that are justified and do not throw the doggy bone of a none claim bonus to their clients because they want to collect premiums without payouts.
