Nothing special afterall

Years ago I woke up one day to find my car on bricks. Luckily, I was with Outsutance at the time and they were there for me and my car had better 'shoes' than before the incident...

Long story short, I've always had a soft spot for Outsurance and hoped one day I would come back... I recently got a quote which turned out to be pricer than my current premises.

In line with their promotion, they paid me a whopping R500. It's sad that I couldn't join them. What's even sadder though is that, I had to snap out of the pipe dream of ever considering them in future. They're just like any other insurance afterall when it comes to avoiding payments...

Their promo is clear on that if they can't beat your car insurance quote, claim free with the same insurer for more than 3 years, then they pay you R1500. They have proof that I met all the R1500 requirements but they chose to use trailer cover as a way out of paying. Car and trailer cover are two different covers, even on their policy schedule which I kept from years gone by. What will they use next, a claim from buildings cover?

Bottom line, on my car insurance which I got quote for; I I haven't had a claim and been with the same insurer for more than 3 years.

But then again, this is how most insurance companies duck and dive when it comes to money out of their pockets.

Good morning Emmanuel,

Thank you for your feedback.
We can assure you that we will always honor a payment, if its due. While we offer a payout if we cannot beat your premium, there are related T's and C's that apply.
Our quote promotion team are reviewing the matter and will be in contact with you.

Regards,
The OUTsurance Team
