Not my Fault - Outsurance

I was involved in an accident on 30 June 2016 and the other party was anOutsurance client. He acknowledge that he made a mistake when we made the accident. He filed a police report and put in a claim with Outsurance.

When I phoned Outsurance they emailed me the required to forms and it took me four days to collect all the required information. I submitted the forms and was told that it will take 4 - 6 weeks.

On my first follow up, i was informed that there were some requirements missing, i had to resend it again. I made 100% sure that all the requirements were there from day one.

I follow up continuously and eventually i got a settlement letter, which was R14 000.00 less then the original quote from my own panelbeaters. I submitted all the requirements again on the 22 July 2016 and when I follow up, i was told that it will take four to ten days. When I followed up on 01.08.2016 i was told that i should be patient, it still in the ten days. I got the following concerns that covers both process and service:

1. Why not send me to their preferred suppliers for a quote ( i wasted time to go to my prefered panelbeater)

2. Who still take 4 - 6 weeks to process a claim, you client acknowledge that he was responsible for the accident - pay the claim quicker, as a third party my first priority is to get my car fixed and on the road.

3. Make personal contact with the client and position the reduced claim amount. Dont just send an email stating this the full and final settlement. I feel like I was bul**** into accepting the settlement. I was about to hand it over to my lawyers, but I want my car fixed at the earliest convenience.

4. What happens if there is something else wrong with my car? Your assessor never came out to look at the car physically, but you offer me a reduced amount, WHY?

5. Pay me on acceptance of the settlement letter, ten days add another two weeks before i can fixed my car.

You are boasting on television, but I would like to request that you look at the customer tolerance levels and your processes to support superior service. Six weeks and ten days is not AYOBA!

We take note of your concerns and our Liability Claims Manager has since been in contact. She discussed the procedure in detail and explained you don't need to pay in if you make use of our service provider.

Chrisna sent you her direct contact number if you require any other assistance.
