Not loyal to existing clients - Rather don't join them at all

I've been a loyal client of OutSurance for 6 years, and I've been completely claim free for the entirely of that period. I recently bought a new car and so got the shock of my life when I heard the premium for Comprehensive insurance. R1600 per month with an access of R 5100. None the less, I took it and so started shopping around.

Heard about Naked Insurance from a close friend and so tried them. Litterally got a quote from the awesome app and it turned out R 400 cheaper per month with exactly the same offerings as OutSurance AND an access of R 1500. So I naturally did what any loyal client does and called them (spent 30 min on the phone) and told them the offer that I'd received. Their only response was that they'd lower my premium by R 100, and that their roadside assistance is better and works during loadshedding. Other than that they entirely dismissed Naked as an insurance provider, having a trust index on Hello Peter of 8.2 (current) while yours is always in the low 4's. Really? I've been with you for 6 years and that was the entirety of your argument, much of which when I tried to talk to and counter argue with the consultant was dismissed. There's no way any idiot would continue to pay a premium that high just to be loyal to a company in this economy. I'm sorry but I'm OUT of OutSurance. Naked will cancel my policy on behalf of me (a service they offer when you join). *Don't call me, I never want to speak to any of your consultants again.* Very dissatisfied ex-customer.

My advice to whomever is reading this, rather just stay away from OutSurance and save yourself some money.
