Not a happy camper

To whom it may concern, I have an Outsurance matter that needs attention and it seems I have to resort to Hello Peter to hopefully get somewhere. I have been sent from pillar to post for the last 2 months moving onto the 3rd month and my patience is now running thin. I have been attempting to get my vehicle repaired by Outsurance since 17 July 2020. My vehicle was damaged by one of your clients, a Outsurance representative instructed me to take my vehicle to a service centre appointed by Outsurance, I informed them that I do not want to drive the vehicle as I was worried that there are hidden damages that I cannot see. So after allot of phone calls and frustrations I eventually decided to take the vehicle to a panel beater, they informed me that they will do an assessment and get back to myself and Outsurance after more two weeks and countless phone calls later, the panel beaters had come back and said that they would not be repairing the damages as the boot lifters where not damaged by your client, but in fact on the cctv footage clearly shows the impact of the damage which was quite hard and as a result the body was shifted and with that impact the boot lifters where damaged in the process, my vehicle was hit so hard it bounce onto the pavement in the process. They suggested I take the settlement and find an alternative repair centre of my choice. I’ve had to revert to the media the consumer protection act and my next step is the ombudsman, as I do not earn a high salary and I cannot afford to hire an attorney and my vehicle my means of transport to and from work I have had to revert to a lift every day, this does pose a problem. There was nothing wrong with the vehicle before your client hit me which is evident in the footage provided to you. Your client hit me so hard that a wall was damaged as well as an electrical box was uprooted. I am aware that the damages occurred mostly on the left but once again as the footage shows the car was hit on the left and pushed up against the pavement which will cause damages on the right hand side by the pavement, Now explain to me how there was only minor damages? I don’t see why I must do all the running around to get this matter sorted out, is it not the job of Outsurance to make sure all claims are seen to in a timely manner? It is very insulting that a company like Outsurance would tell me how it is and accept it. Well I do not accept it as it was not any fault of my own. After speaking to Lebo on several occasions due to my insistent phone calls Lebo would ask the panel beaters for the full report, this report has not surfaced as yet that was over two weeks ago. My claim number is ***. If you would like the reference number from the CPA I can provide that to you on request. I would like this matter seen to by Outsurance and something done to my satisfaction. You have all my contact details Outsurance as I have provided you with a reference number.

Hello Robyn

We know you appreciate our concern about the service experience, and more so, for having to reach out to us, more than once.

Our assessing manager, Danie has since contacted you with an apology and also discussed the damages.
A settlement offer was sent to you and we will finalise the claim for you as soon as you send us the signed version hereof.

Regards
OUTsurance
