No service to their customers for broken garage doors

<p>We bought a house recently and chose to go with the banks insurance Outsurance. So my first expensive with them enquiring about a claim was an absolute failure. We tried to get out our garage this morning and our garage door wouldn't open. The whole door has gone skew and the cables and rods have come out hence the motor can't open it it. The door was perfectly fine. So we have no idea what happened. My husband first phoned and the lady told him we can only claim if a car drives into it or lightening strikes the motor. I phoned back as the first thing our neighbours told us to do is phone our home insurance. So obviously their insurance company covers for this. The lady I spoke to also started telling me the same thing and when I told her I was not satisfied with their response she rattled off as whole of of inclusions and exclusions and when I told her we have no idea what happened. For all we know someone tried to open our door during the night. She then said well we will have to send an assessor then. Not very helpful or willing to get it going. Do you understand that our garage door is an entrance to our house, if we can't get our home insurance company to assist us at all this is a huge security risk. so we cannot close the door. So we are unable to even leave our house. I find this customer service completely unacceptable. I'm of the mind to find a home insurance company that is WILLING to assist with our security concern without trying to get out of it anyway they can...neither ladies were willing to go out of their way at all</p>
