NO REFUND FOR DUAL INSURANCE
We were quoted with a more affordable premium with a different insurer and completed the underwriting process. During this process we recieved a call from Outsurance's retentions department, where they gave us a small amount of discount on the premium and asked us to stay with them since we have been insured with them for 10yrs. We then discovered we were dually insured with the AA and Outsurance. 2 Months dual insurance paid. the process is simple as one company refunds 50% (1month) the other company 50% (1month). The AA refunded the one months premium they were supposed to less than 2 weeks later. With Outsurance it was a constant struggle for them to have all the relevant documents as everytime you speak to someone else and they didn't have some of the papers.
Out of a premium of R1700.00 for Outsurance, they have only refunded R730.57. We just feel that we have now stayed with them and cancelled the AA (who refunded us our entire one months premium of R1641.78), but then this kind of service from Outsurance after deciding to stay loyal? NOT ON!!
