No interest in investigating over-payments
The assessment process for claims is completely open to *****, at the expense of Outsurance and the client - yet they are not willing to investigate. I had a third party claim in December - a bump on the other party's bonnet so light I didnt even have a scratch on my car. Yet 2 claims have now been paid out totalling nearly R40 000 because apparently once the engine was stripped (don't know why an engine is being stripped when only the bonnet is damaged and I have photos to prove it) they found more damage and Outsurance has to pay more monies over for the claim. This was a month after the accident. No one seems to be bothered to ask if this damage was indeed caused by my accident or not. Outsurance doesn't seem to be bothered either if they are making additional payments that they are not necessarily liable for. In the end my premium goes up because of the amounts claimed. This, besides the possible ***** that is being committed. And Outsurance just shrugs their shoulders!!
We know you will appreciate our concern about response.
Our assessor, Rishi contacted you and explained the internal damage is not visible without the vehicle being stripped. He discussed in detail how we reached the costed amount and assessment total.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to clarify as well as your understanding.
