Navigating Insurance Seas: Unexpected Encounters with Shark

I've been a loyal customer of Outsurance for several years, entrusting them with both my household and life insurance, in addition to coverage for my two cars and a trailer, amounting to a substantial investment. Despite never filing a claim, a recent incident occurred where my daughter's car, parked unattended at her university dormitory, was bumped by another vehicle. The responsible party left a note and agreed to cover the damages. However, Outsurance not only doubled the insurance premium for that vehicle but also revoked my Outbonus, all despite our innocence in the incident. This unexpected turn of events, penalising us despite being blameless, has led me to reconsider Outsurance's policies. I now comprehend the implications behind the Hippo adverti*****t, and Francois' inquiry about identifying sharks; sadly, I now know the answer firsthand.

Reviewer Update
I have just received a phone call from an Outsurance customer service consultant. Although I must acknowledge that was extremely courteous and cordial, that was the extent of the customer's satisfaction. Prior to anything else, it was confirmed that my Outbonus remains lost, even if Outsurance is successful in recovering all the funds from the party responsible for the incident. This suggests that the only way to obtain Outbonus (a fraction of the insurance premiums paid) is to spend a substantial amount of money on them without filing a claim. There are no provisions in place to facilitate those who are not at fault. She actually explained her point by comparing a natural disaster (such as a hailstorm) to having your vehicle damaged by a third party. I would like to see the recovery process from Mother Nature. She then proceeded to examine my entire portfolio and extended a reduced premium. What causes them to be so capable and eager to reduce expenses only when someone lodges a complaint? I inquired as to whether a refund was available for the surplus funds that had been remitted since day one. The answer is no. I wish individuals would acknowledge that the adverti*****ts that air on television are a load of nonsense. You are not saving anything. Your payment will be reduced if you lodge a complaint (so you just PAY LESS, Not a Saving). Insurance is not a savings plan; it is a grudge purchase in anticipation of an unforeseen loss, and if you claim, you will pay more. If insurance was a savings plan, you would have seen much bigger returns even if you made claims. But this is common knowledge to all. Signed: Mr. "fed up with the bureaucracy."
