Judgement against me

Last year, on the 04/07/2014 I was involved in an motor vehicle accident occurred in Claremont, Cape Town Western Cape. This is what happened: I just had left the stop to turn right, when i got to the lane (my left-hand side), there is a car approaching me (my lane), and we collided. We exchanged contact details so that I can claim from her insurance because I didnt have insurance at the time, I then reported the accident at the police station. I lost her details somehow before i could make a third party claim from OUTSURANCE and soon enough the 30 days valid period for claims was over, so I could not make a claim against Outsurance so I end up paying myself for the tow truck and damages to my car. Now all of a sudden on the 6/10/2015 i received an SMS saying that \\we have obtained judgement against you of R76917.00 for the accident took place on 4/07/2014. And the following day i got an SMS from Transunion advising me that something has changed on my credit profile (Judgement on my name). How can I be liable for accident that was not my fault? 2. How do they even obtain a judgement without me knowing about it? Is it bcoz they have money
