IS THERE SOMEYHING GOING ON AT OUTSURANCE'S SALVAGE DEPARTMENT?

On the 9th February 2022 by car was involved in an accident which resulted in it being a write-off. I gave all the car documents, including the manual and all other relevant documents to a man from their "salvage department". Outsurance duly paid me the "book value" of the vehicle a few days later. About 10 days after I was contacted by Oursurance (Selvage Dept.) to say that the Registration Document I had surrendered was a photocopy. As this was the actual document given to me by the dealership when I bought it in 2015 I was extremely suspicious and asked that they return the documents in order that I could take the matter up with the original dealership. THEY DID NOTHING. After a few weeks I again received a call demanding the papers and I repeated my request that they return those that I had given to then in February. Today, almost 6 months after the accident I received a call shortly after 8am from Lauren Herron at Outsurance again demanding the same documents. They say they will now send them back tomorrow. I fail to see what I can now do after a period of 6 months and they have given no explanation for the the long period of inactivity. In the interim I had visited the dealer who did the original registration to ask if they, for any reason, made a photocopy of the original and had given me the copy in error. Their reply was that they did not do this as there was no necessity. I suspect that something untoward is going on at the salvage department. Just to illustrate Outsurance's business ethics, I bought a new car at less than half the price of the replacement cost new of the old car and they quoted me three times the premium that I was quoted by another household named insurance company. DON'T BELIEVE ALL THAT OUTSURENCE SAY IN THEIR TV AVERTI*****TS.
