Insurance premium rise the minute one claims??

Having paid for Insurance cover on our home for at least the past 10 years with Outsurance, we finally claimed for 2 burst geysers during the past year. NOW SUDDENLY, when we receive our Rerate documents, our premium on our building has almost DOUBLED... totally incredulous. What happened to all the years we DIDNT claim.???
