House structure claim still not attended after our break in on the 10th November 2018

My house got broken into on Saturday the 10th November, and on the 12th I remembered that we had house structure insurance with Outsurance and called them to report the matter, and also to put a claim forward.

I was at first, dealing with a consultant named Karl Fourie (outsurance number ********** 591) who was appointed as my assessor and who never rep**** to my whatsapps when I sent him pictures and videos. After a day of receiving no further communication from this assessor, I emailed the Claims agent who I had reported my incident to by name of Logan Naidoo, and sent an email as follows:

Subject: Re: Message Notepad - ********** 2(MR PHILLIP GQITIYEZA) Claim - ********** 64 Hi Logan The assessor that you put forward is not communicating and is very quiet doesn't even read my messages. We are still not safe. I need to know what he intends to do. He is dead quiet. On 13 Nov 2018 7:55 AM, "LOGAN NAIDOO" > wrote: Good day, I will check with our assessing dept and will give you feedback soon. Regards Logan Naidoo Tel: 27-12 ********** Claims Department

After receiving this feedback, I thought that someone would speedily respond to me, but this was not the case. I received feedback from another assessor by name of Jerusha Ragavan, saying to me she is taking over from Karl Fourie, without any explaination of why Karl had just completed abandoned my claim even though I had told him that we were exposed and needed to secure our property.

Jerusha as well, requested that I send pictures and videos to her which I did, and when she needed clearer pictures, I told her that I work very far and leave the house very early in the morning, and return later in the day. She then sent out a service provider to assess the damages to my gate, door frame, door, bedroom door and frame, who said they would send the pictures to Outsurance claims and get back to us.

The date is the 26 November 2018, and from the 12 November when I had reported this break in and claim, nothing has still been done. I am still with the gate that the ********* bent and broke with a Crow bar, with a door frame that is still damaged also with a crow bar, with a temporal door that I bought just until Outsurance were suppose to have changed, a bedroom door and frame that are still unsecure. We are still not safe and are like sitting ducks, waiting for Outsurance to get back to us when they have the time.

I am cancelling any other policies I have with Outsurance too! I cannot imagine what will happen when I have to claim on them too. There is no urgency and I also think maybe they have too many clients to attend to or perhaps, it depends what skin colour the client is. This complaint is a desperate attempt to get feedback from these assessors who just switched without any explaination and still haven't followed up on our case. I am done with Outsurance!

Hello. Thank you Kevin. We had a great call from Elmarie who apologized for the set backs and apologized on behalf of Outsurance. We accepted the apology and Elmarie was very professional and reminded us what good customer service is. We would like thank Outsurance for the stunning service we have received after our ordeal. The service providers are installing as we speak. We will not be changing insurances. Thank you
