Horrible service from OUTsurance
The worst service ever I ensured my brand new car with OUTsurance in June 2018 and took out credit shortfall fast forward to 1 March 2022 I have a car accident and on the 3rd they declared my car a write off but won’t pay my credit shortfall of R16000 because my finance has accessories listed, to be specific it’s got smash and grab, bootmat, secure bag, selective lock, headlight on buzzer and an emergency kit and I’m only being told now that I have had an accident claim number *** that shortfall cover does not cover the interest on accessories but when the cover was done in June 2018 the consultant did not mention this detail about the shortfall at all to me and now I’m fighting with OUTsurance just to get my shortfall cover that I have paid for since 2018 and they cannot even retrieve the call from 14 June 2018 when the quote I accepted was done for me by their consultant. I am cancelling all the policies I have with them as they pretend to care about their customers but really only care when they are taking their premiums every month I would not recommend anyone to do business with OUTsurance and I will be getting my family members and friends to cancel their policies too as they just look for ways not to pay you and it’s already been 2 weeks and my matter is still not sorted even the claims advisor is clueless he’s just a messenger.
Further to our private reply to you, we again wish to apologise for not having ensured you receive prompt feedback to your enquiry.
The relevant call, when we reinstated the cover of your vehicle cover, was audited and it was confirmed the accessory cover was offered, which you declined. We contacted you and discussed our findings as well as our decision to include the monetary value of the accessories in the settlement amount.
Thank you for affording us the opportunity to have assisted you. We endeavour finalising the claim for you as soon as possible.

OUTsurance
