My wife and I stopped for Diesel in Oudtshoorn on our December holiday. As I was leaving the garage an Outsurance client opened her door and indented my vehicle on the right hand side.

I submitted all documentation to Outsurance and they responded as follows: According to the information at our disposal, our client's door was already opened when you drive passed and you collided into the door.
We are therefore denying liability.

I was so shocked as the people were so kind the day and agreed that they were at fault. Obviously I did not agree with their client's statement and responded with a disposition together with flowing supporting items:

1. Police statement
2. Garage video footage
3. Photo's
4. K53 rules not followed by the driver. eg. yellow lane parking

Outsurance responded that they looked at the footage and is going to lodge a claim against me for their clients expenses.

From the footage it is clear who is at fault but big companies know individuals are struggling to make a living these days and will not challenge them.

I just want my vehicle fixed. I already got 3 family members to cancel their Outsurance because I do not want this to happen to any other person.
