H J du Plessis

We are with outsurance for years and we were always very happy with their service but not this time. We haven't had a claim for long time; our no claim bonus would have paid out in 2020 but I dented our bumper and we decided to give up the no claim bonus and rather put in a claim to repair same. We further paid the access of R4600. Outsurance's assessor approved our claim and also quoted for a new front light. The assessor quoted for the wrong light and Alberton Panelbeaters refused to put in a new light. Nobody consulted us and Outsurance requested the panelbeater to fix the light and not to put in a new light. Our light is still not fixed and we reported same to Outsurance. When we received our vehicle our boot struggled to closed and is still not working without a struggle. Nothing was wrong with our boot before it went to tjhe panelbeater. This is last time I will ever use Outsurance's panelbeaters. We always use our own people and this is exactly why. We are very disappointed in Outsurance, it is more than two weeks now after our complaint and nobody phoned as to apologize or came back to let us know what they are going to do with our light . If we knew this we could have used our no claim bonus and the R4600 to repair the bumper and light ourselves. Outsurance paid this panelbeaters R13 000 to only repair a bumper. It makes you wonder if Outsurance is starting to loose their grip???

Hello Helena

We fully understand your disappointment. We also sincerely apologise for not ensuring you received prompt feedback after you notified us of the workmanship issues.

Our claims manager has since contacted you with an apology. It was also agreed we will ensure the headlamp and boot is repaired. We will conclude this for you as soon as you have sent us the quote as discussed.

Regards
OUTsurance
