Geyser trouble!

<p>After ANOTHER water outage, our water eventually came back on at 6:30pm having been out the whole day. Suddenly the power went out just as the water pressure increased and filled up cisterns etc. We checked the board, switching all the circuits off and resetting the breakers one by one. As we switched the geyser back on it again tripped the whole board. I called Outsurance who responded immediately and an operator named Avril was extremely helpful and re-assured us that help was on the way. As we had our household policy with Outsurance the call out was FREE! Avril told us that an electrician/plumber was on his way to assist and would be with us within 45 minutes which sounded too good to be true at that time of night. Sure enough, the gentleman arrived within 40 minutes and was very courteous and re-assuring. He quickly assessed the problem which was that the geyser element had burnt out and needed replacing. The geyser was drained, the element replaced, and everything back to normal by around 9:00pm. The only cost involved was the payment of the parts which came to R 700. During this time, I received both texts and calls from Avril updating me and checking that the tradesman had arrived on time and then called to check if the work had been completed to our satisfaction. Overall, what started as a very poor day, ended positively and both Outsurance and the company providing the service - Derect Provincial Projects, deserve a real thumbs up for a terrific and professional service.</p> <p>Well done!</p>
