Frustrating and disappointing claim experience

I have been loyal to outsurance for a long time and my first serious claim and i am getting the worst service ever which is very disappointing!

I hit a pothole which damaged my rim and tyre I submitted a claim the same time An advisor called me who was great The assessor called and asked if there was any other damage. As i am not a mechanic i said i would ask my mechanic to advise which he agreed to. My mechanic came over and did some tests and advised that there was damage to the control arms as well. The damage is not very noticeable on pictures but there is a popping noise and can see slight bends on both control arms I sent this through and the assessor came back and approved the rim and tyre only?? Said he cant approve the other damages as i need to take the car in How do i take the car in when its not drivable I was then asked to send more detail from the mechanic as to which sides are affected etc which i did and was assured finalization on Saturday which i did not receive I called in again and spoke to another advisor who assured feedback and nothing. I find it very frustrating to wait for feedback or even be told that my mechanics report would suffice then get told sorry its not good enough and then inly get approval on what you feel needs to be approved which makes no sense when you did not assess the car ?? When i sent the first report you should have already sent ur assessor out. And not just say ok we will approve the rim and tyre. What about the other damage?? I cannot drive the car and it needs to be towed and yet i am being told that only the rim and tyre will be paid for? I had plans to take my family away which i mentioned to the advisor and assessor. Now with the lack of feedback i am loosing my accomodation and sitting with an unhappy family which is not fair. Who will refund me for my accommodation now??

I now have no choice but to send my car in at my own expense because even though i made the effort to get my own mechanic out to help speed up the process, i am now being told to drive an undrivable car to an assessment centre???

I am very upset and disappointed and not what i expected from a reputable brand like outsurance. My first claim was a windscreen and i put in a serious claim and this is the experience im getting?? What if i have a more serious claim.

I need this sorted out asap. Mr K Moodley ***

Good afternoon Kivashen,

Further to our private reply after receiving your complaint our assessing manager received the outstanding report from you, and was then able to include the mechanical items.

The claim has now been finalised.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Hi Outsurance.

Thank you for assisting in the claim. Further to this, i was unable to drive my car since. And when i was able, i noticed a shudder and subsequently was told that the brake disc was damaged as result of the pothole impact.
I sent this through with the report and claim amount and was told that i am claiming on wear and tear.
Apart from this being insulting its rude to assume this. I sent pictures of the brake pads thats still new and a picture of the disc. You wont see the damage but when you drive you will feel the shudder. I have asked the assessor to either come out and reassess urgently and finalize as this was a defect my mechanic would never have picked up in the initial claim

. I was very insulted by the assessor assuming that i am just claiming on wear and tear. I have been loyal to Outsurance and this statement is offensive and makes me feel like i am committing *****. Is this how they make the customers to feel?
Very dissapointing.
Please can you resolve and finalize the claim asap.
