Frustrated By Outsurance’s Poor Service.

I am so disappointed in the type of service Outsurance is giving us after we’ve been with for 18 years, having covered six cars with them.

I lodged a claim July 1st, their consultant gave me two addresses of their accredited panel-beaters and arranged for the car to be towed to the one in Montana.

On July 9, after I decided to pick up a fight with them for not having assessed the vehicle despite it being with them for over week then, the consultant promised to inquire with the assessor. I have been calling them daily for the whole of the previous week to check if the car has assessed. Their response has been ‘no report from the assessor yet’.

I was tired of being given the same *********** response for that long. The consultant promised to follow up on it and give a report back. I had to wait until the end of business the following day to drag the report out of him. What disgusts me is that I had to call that late in day for him to give me a report. When I called he was ready with the report. Which then backs the question; why did he call. Each time I have to either call or text him to ask for updates. Very poor service.

The report that he gave me regarding the assessment, was that the assessor could not find the car at SMD. Two problems arose there;

1. The car was not towed to SMD, but to a panel-beater in Montana. It is their consultant who told me about the panel-beater and their address. So I gave the tow-truck driver the address. How is it that the assessor went to SMD instead of the panel-beater? Someone didn’t do their job properly.

2. What did the assessor do when he didn’t find the car at SMD? Did he report to whoever sent him to go conduct the assessment? The whole week the car was at the panel-beaters unattended. It took a complaint from for Outsurance to investigate why the car has been assessed after more that a week. Thats when the assessor told the agent he couldn’t find the car. The level of unprofessionalism is palpable.

Another week has come and gone, and we are still waiting for a specialist report on whether or not warning signs came up after the incident. We are being told the report may be available on Wednesday July 17. Whats taking so long?

We pay insurance exorbitant amounts of money for peace of mind. We have been getting far less than what we paying insurance so much for. We are not getting value our hard-earned money. Right now I wouldn’t recommend Outsurance even to my worst enemy.
