Frustrated and disappointed with Outsurance!
I am so frustrated and disappointed with Outsurance! They have become Eskom - unreliable and *************! Trying to claim under household insurance for an Xbox One and an all-in-One PC which my 6-year-old pulled off the TV stand. Get told the items are not covered under household insurance so you will need to get accidental cover for them. So, I add items including the Xbox One and all-in-one Pc to the accidental cover and asked the consultant if there are any terms and conditions or waiting periods concerning the Xbox and all-in-one Pc as I’m going to claim them. “No sir, not as far as I know” I was told. Outsurance debits my account for the newly added items but guess what, now they say I can’t claim on the already damaged items! Always quick to take your money but when there is a problem, they are quick to pass the buck from one consultant to the next, failing to call back when they meant to. I am honestly done with Outsurance!
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We will always ensure we do the right thing and treat all clients fairly.
After responding privately to your review, we escalated the matter for urgent attention. Tumi our client services manager contacted you to discuss in detail what had transpired on the call recording. When adding the risks onto cover, you were advised that you can't claim for previous incidents or damages. You can only claim for incidents that occur after the inception date of the risk or policy.
We do apologise for the disappointment.
