Family traumatised by burglary

Our residence was broken into over Easter while we were away on holiday (although we had all the security requirements in place and our armed response company was onsite within two minutes of the alarm). <br> <br> Besides the traumatic experience of the burglary we were further traumatised by the intensive interrogation by officials from the insurance company. We perceived this in a very negative way and made us feel like the perpetrators after we had to answer to the same question three times from three different officials. We were fortunate to find a sympathetic ear from the assessor, Eugene Voges. We may not be this fortunate in future.<br> Lessons learned : keep a photographic record of your possessions, keep invoices and serial numbers safely.
