False and misleading insurance quote

On 22 May 2024, I requested a quote for a 2016 Audi s3 from Ernest Malebati. The amount initially quoted, was in excess of R1900. I then advised that Kingprice offered me a premium of R1061.

He then put me through to his manager (which I don’t have the name at this stage), who convinced me, based on his excellent persuasion skills, to sign up with OUTsurance for an amount of R1131 (initial amount less the 10% smart drive premium).

When I received the policy schedule, I noted a basic excess of R26k which is absolutely ludicrous. No normal person would agree to an excess of this amount and I can confirm that I did not agree to this excess.

I then phoned OUTsurance in the afternoon to indicate that I have never agreed to this excess. At 18h40, I received an updated policy schedule, where the R26k has been amended however the premium is now in excess of R1500.

It is therefore evident that OUTsurance could not match the premium of king price and I demand the cash payout from OUTsurance. I will also be cancelling this policy with OUTsurance with immediate effect due to false and misleading information from the manager of Ernest.
